Obituary
MADISON-Phillip J. "Phill" Iturbide, age 77, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015. He was born on Oct. 21, 1937, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the son of Phillip and Lenore (Narveaz) Iturbide. Phill married Debra Olsen on Feb. 18, 1989, in Madison. Through a combination of hard work and talent, he started Ace Auto Upholstery, restoring and repairing vehicles for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. Phill never tired of bringing the best out of cars and used his passion to collect a number of them. He was a founding member of Klassic Kruisers Car Club of Madison and enjoyed showing off his collection. Phill drove numerous times to Memphis to satisfy his enthusiasm of Elvis. Graceland was always a favorite trip of which he never tired. He also enjoyed traveling to visit family in Mexico and had many other vacations to tropical areas. Phill was an avid Packer fan. Phill is survived by his wife, Debra; children, Phillip, Gene (Kathy), Victor (Shaney), Michael (Angie), Michelle (Jeff), Melisa (Joe) and Mike (Laurie); grandchildren, Brandie, Kassandra, Jacob, Phillip, Paige, Olivia, Jack, Emma, Lily, Kaidence, Abby, Nicholas and Rachel; three brothers, Joseph (Karen), John and Louis "Corky"; and nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Phyllis and daughter, Debra Addington. A prayer service and sharing of memories will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. The family would like to extend an invitation to all who knew Phill to continue the celebration of his life at Tully's II following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family. Phillip was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. "He did it his way." Online condolences may be made to www.gundersonfh.com.

Teens together in Oak Park, I'll, friendship that continued for ever. Families that intertwined from one generation to the next will remain strong. Phil was the Heart throb of many. Looking like Elvis and James Dean, he most definitely had the Rebel within him as most of us did, at that time. I do feel fortunate that he was apart of my young adult life. Good memories remain. Rest in Peace, Don Felipe.
