Shirley was a great cook! I always looked forward to dinner at mom's. I remember her most, though, for adopting me as her special daughter when my mom passed away. She always made me feel special and she was very special to me.
Rest in peace, mom. I'll be placing an order for a welcome home meal when I come to meet you!

Shirley was my mentor and friend when I first joined Covance in 1981, along with Margrit Lunde and Marge Burright. In addition to showing me the ropes at work, they introduced me to some interesting experiences around town, including the piano bar at the Mayflower Hotel! I occasionally ran into Shirley at the Green Lantern on Sunday mornings, and we always talked about getting together. I will hold special memories of Shirley.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I am Joyce's daughter, Sherry and I have so many memories of our mothers as young moms, roommates and fun times at the Village Green, and best friends always. I loved your mother and I know how deeply she will be missed. Sherry McBain Nomura
