Link, Delma J.
MADISON/POYNETTE-Delma J. Link, age 89, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015, after a lengthy illness. She was born on Nov. 14, 1925, the daughter of Ole and Jennie (Pauli) Berg. She graduated from Madison East High School. Delma loved her family and enjoyed spending time camping. She was an avid sports enthusiast and followed politics closely. Delma is survived by her children, Tom (Debbie) Link, Terri (David) Hix, Rachel (Haakon) Mikkelson and Dave (Rachael) Link; grandchildren, Mike (Lisa), Amanda, John and Rob Link; Martha, Nathan and Julia Hix; Jason, Katrina and Sara Mikkelson; and Jake and Leo Link; and great-grandchildren, Justin and Emma Link. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roman Link. A memorial Service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 6 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Private inurnment will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. I would like to extend my condolences on the death of your mother Delma Link.
I am her first cousin and the daughter of Fred and Kathryn Pauli of the Paoli area. Because I was the youngest of the Pauli cousins, I remember your mother only as a small child on visits to Jenny and Ole's home, We had a large copy of the photo on this page and it was hand colored and I remember her beauty.
My mother, Kathryn, maintained contact until her death in 1988. My brother and sister-in-law, Don and Marie Pauli also maintained contact with her from time to time, Donald died last summer.
On behalf of the Pauli family I extend warm thoughts to your families as you watch the passing of an important force in your lives and reflect on the thriving new generation.
