William Leo Quinn

Quinn, William L. "Bill" SUN PRAIRIE-William L. "Bill" Quinn, age 78, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at Alden Estates of Jefferson, where he had received wonderful care since the fall of 2013. He was born in Argyle, Wis. to Leo and Mae Quinn. Bill served in the U.S. Army and worked for Forest Products Lab as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over 30 years. He was a member of the Moose, Eagles, American Legion, East Side Club, Knights of Columbus, and Disabled American Veterans. Bill loved polka music, Switzerland and collecting all kinds of gadgets. Bill is survived by his wife of almost 44 years, Joellyn; three daughters, Cathy Quinn (Mike Netzer), Patti (Jeff) Taylor of Raleigh, N.C. and Shannon (Jake) Brott of Green Bay, Wis.; 5 grandchildren, Nicole and Joe Taylor and Chris, Nick and Sydney Brott; brother, Russell (Liz); and sister, Betty (Jim) Krim. He is further survived by a very special aunt, Theresa Quinn Young; and uncle, Maurice (Sarah) Styger; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Ann Endres; parents; and in-laws, Joe and Margaret Zimmerman. A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. ALBERT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2420 St Albert Dr., Sun Prairie, at 2 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015 followed by Military Honors. The family will greet guests at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the Mass on Thursday. Casual dress is requested. In lieu of flowers, the family will forward memorials to either the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, or the Simmons Cemetery Association in support of the Memory Garden that Bill loved.
