Obituary

Lettman, Glen W. "Buzzy" MADISON-Glen W. "Buzzy" Lettman, age 86, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015, at Sylvan Crossings in Fitchburg. He was born on Aug. 29, 1928, at home in Orion Township, Wis., the son of Carl and Lorena Lettman. Glen grew up on the family farm helping as needed with farm duties. In August of 1947, Glen met and married Henrietta Adams. In the next three to four years he worked on farms in the Viroqua-Five Points area where Robert and Randall were born. In 1952, his family moved to Lone Rock where Roland was born. Glen worked for approximately five years at the Badger Army Ammunition Plant for the war effort. Glen began working at Wingra Stone in 1956, retiring after 35 years of service of which he was extremely proud! Glen married Lucille Weihert on Feb. 6, 1974, in Madison. In his younger years Glen enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and especially enjoyed working his team of horses, "Lum and Abner". After retirement he enjoyed gardening, landscaping and helping neighbors with anything they needed. Glen is survived by his wife, Lucy; sons, Randall (Connie) Lettman of Belleville, and Roland (Debra) Lettman of Milton; daughter-in-law, Linda Lettman of Monticello; sister, Shirley Miller of Arkdale, Wis.; nine grandchildren, Scott (Cindy) Lettman, Kurt Lettman, Brandon Lettman, Kari (Aaron) Hatleberg, all of Belleville, Tanya (Greg) Shue of Fitchburg, Michelle Bellomo of Mena, Ark., Nicole Lettman and Danielle Lettman of Janesville, and Shane (Molly) Lettman of Cambridge; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lorena (Pauls) Lettman; son, Robert Lettman; brother, Harold Lettman; and brother-in-law, Harold Miller. Family and friends are invited to Glen's celebration of life which will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, Aug.10, 2015, followed by fellowship. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Agrace HospiceCare, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI, 53711. This will help Agrace HospiceCare continue to provide loving and compassionate care. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at St. Mary's Hospital, Sylvan Crossings Chapel Valley and Agrace HospiceCare for their kindness and compassion in Glen's final weeks.
