BROOKLYN/ALBANY – GEORGE, NORMA JEAN M.
Norma Jean M. George, age 77 of Brooklyn, passed away on Sat., July 4, 2015 at The Oregon Manor with her loving family by her side. She was born on Dec. 24, 1937 in Beloit, the daughter of Aaron and Dedy (Clark) Sharp. Norma Jean attended school in Albany and graduated from Beloit High School. On Oct. 17, 1959, she married Lonnie George in Brooklyn. Norma Jean worked for almost 20 years for Treasures, Ltd., in Brooklyn. She also worked at one time for United Airlines in Chicago and for Manchesters in Madison. Norma Jean loved to garden, do crafts, sewing, crocheting, spending time in the north woods being with nature, and cooking for her loving family. She was a born caregiver, always taking care of someone.
Norma Jean is survived by her husband Lonnie; sons, Kevin (Jackie), Mark both of Brooklyn; three grandchildren, Natasha (Scott) Jensen, Ryan and Cory; great grandson Colton and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister DeLaura (Kenneth) Whiteaker; and her brother Bearl (Rosa) Sharp.
According to Norma Jean's wishes, private family services will be held.
