Mary Margaret Salmon

Mary M. Salmon, 75, from MADISON, passed away suddenly of a brief illness on Saturday, July 11th, 2015. She was born on March 12, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Allan F. DiVall and Helen L. DiVall (Orr). She attended Antioch College where she met and married Donald W. Salmon on July 29th, 1961, in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Allan and Helen DiVall, Donald W. Salmon (husband), John DiVall (brother), Kevin Johns (nephew) and Larry Johns (brother-in-law). She is survived by her son, Steven Salmon, daughter, Susan Bain (Salmon), granddaughters Alexis and Courtney Bain and her beautiful cat Lindy. She also is survived by her sister, Nancy Johns; nephews Larry Johns, Jason Johns, John DiVall; and nieces Kelly Clarke (Johns), Jenny Tonn (DiVall), Sara DiVall; grandnieces Josephine Tonn and Gillian Tonn. Mary loved to read, sew, cross stitch and had a creative eye for design. She had a great love for nature and for animals. On early Sunday mornings she loved to go to the Sherman Avenue farmers' market. Mary devoted her life to caring for her son Steven, who is a published author with cerebral palsy. The family will be planning services for a later date.
