Erleen B Clausius

Clausius, Erleen B. MADISON- Erleen B. Clausius, age 81, of Madison, died peacefully at her home on Monday, July 27, 2015. She was born in Madison, Wis., on Dec. 17, 1933, the daughter of Harlow and Helen Schumann. Erleen grew up in Black Earth, Wis., and was a 1952 graduate of Black Earth High School. She married Robert A. Clausius at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Marxville, Wis., on Aug. 25, 1956. He preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2008. A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, Erleen was a member of Lutheran Church of the Living Christ in Madison and a previous member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac, Wis., Midvale Community Lutheran Church in Madison, and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Marxville. She is survived by four children, daughter, Becky (Jim) Buechel of Pewaukee and their daughter, Lindsay (Joe) Wirth of Summerlin, Nev., twin sons, Gregg Clausius of Seattle, Wash., and his children, Kyle and Katie, and Gary (Tammy) Clausius of Fond du Lac and their son, Gavin, and daughter, Jodi (Steve) Mueller of Madison and their children, Holly (Patrick Gray), Sydney, Alex and Derek. Erleen is also survived by four step-grandchildren, Nathan (Karen) Kraemer of Fond du Lac and their son, Linden, Nikki (Josh) Krueger of Oakfield, Wis., and their children, Adin, Devon, Tristan, Briah, Eliana, Ivy and Aubrey, Danielle (Brian) Osborn of Reno, Nev., and their daughters, Delilah and Annabelle, and Sarah Kraemer of Fond du Lac and her sons, Landon and Reilly. In addition, she is survived by a sister-in-law, Betty (Norman) Van Arsdall of Oxnard, Calif.; nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Wayland Schumann; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Clausius. Funeral services will be held LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE LIVING CHRIST, 110 N. Gammon Rd., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, with the Rev. Dan Kowert officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Madison.
