Obituary

Bale, David MADISON-David John (Dave) Bale, age 54, died at his home in Madison, on Monday, July 6, 2015, of natural causes. He was born to Sam and June Bale on July 27, 1960, in Madison, where he lived for most of his life with the exception of his marriage that took him to Wisconsin Rapids. Dave was a graduate of LaFollette High school, class of 1979. Throughout his time on earth, he held many odd jobs from selling corn, cleaning up after Badgers games at the Kohl Center, to most recently serving food samples at Sam's Club. Dave loved the outdoors. His greatest passion in life was fishing and spent many hours on Lake Michigan, fishing at the family cabin in Sturgeon Bay and the surrounding lakes of Madison. Dave was always hoping for the biggest and best fish story. He often dreamed of dreams bigger than life itself and would often experience extreme highs or lows with the outcomes of these dreams. Dave's life could be summed up by the words in 1 Corinthians 13:12, "Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely." As his family, we pray Dave's dreams and biggest fish stories are met in his Heavenly Father. We love you, Dave, and you will be missed. He is survived by his daughter, Megan Bale; his son, Ryan Bale; his mother, June Bale; his sisters, Sue (Bill) Carman and Barb (Jim) Kavanagh; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Bale; his brother, Tom Bale; and his nephew, Kenny Kavanagh. Dave's family has requested a private memorial service. Memorials may be made in Dave's name to Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin, P.O. Box 2317, Madison, Wis., 53701. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
