Richard Lamar Klinger,

Klinger, Richard L. "Jack" MADISON-Richard L. "Jack" Klinger, age 80, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born on April 11, 1935, in Valley View, Pa., the son of William and Beata Klinger. Richard married Barbarann Mitchell on March 28, 1958, in Valley View, Pa. Upon graduating from Hegins Township High School, Richard enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for 20 years all over the world, including one tour in Korea, Turkey, Ethiopia, two separate tours in Vietnam and numerous Army Bases in the United States. After retiring from the U.S. Army, Richard was a repair technician for Fair Hill Appliance and The Amoco Container Company. Richard then worked for Woodman's Food Stores until his retirement. Richard had many passions in his life from bowling, 500 Rummy, family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Richard touched many people in his life, and he will be fondly recalled and dearly missed by all that came into contact with him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbarann; sons, Christopher Klinger and Mark Klinger; daughter, Michele Callaway (Steven); sons, Richard Klinger (Wendy) and Matt Blake (Laurie Gleason); sisters, Anna Snyder and Alice Angino; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur Klinger; and sister, Ruth Kimmel. In a nod to his military service and his love of family, there will be a celebration of his life at CAPITAL LAND CHRISTIAN CENTER, 3651 Maple Grove Drive, Madison, Wis. Visitation will run from 10 a.m. to the start of service at 11 a.m. with Military Honor Guard, on Saturday, June 20, 2015.
