Marian Taplick

Taplick, Marian N. STOUGHTON-Marian Nettie Taplick, age 100, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Harmony Assisted Living Center in Stoughton. Marian was born on Nov. 23, 1914, in North Freedom, to John W. and Nettie (Nehls) Warne, the second of five daughters. She attended grade school and high school in North Freedom and graduated in 1932. Marian graduated as a R.N. from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1936. She did private duty, worked at the old Wisconsin General Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Gisholt Machine Company, as an industrial nurse, and the Madison Veteran's Hospital. Marian married Paul E. Reineke, Robert C. Rurup and Walter L. Taplick, all who preceded her in death. Marian enjoyed her family, singing (first with her sister, Doris, and then with her younger sisters) in the North Freedom Methodist Church Choir, with two friends as a trio while in nurses training and in Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. She also enjoyed doing embroidery, knitting, crafts, traveling and taking walks. Marian was proud of the fact she received her driver's license at age 67. She also enjoyed spending time with all her many friends. Marian is survived by her son, Donald J. (Nancy Daley) Reineke of Stoughton; grandson, Benjamin J. (Amie Jensen) Reineke of Stoughton; great-grandsons, Henry and Owen Reineke; stepdaughter-in-law, Glenda Taplick of Stoughton; step-grandchildren, Eric (Kristin) Taplick, Bradley (Eileen) Taplick and Heather (Robert) Dawson; step-great-grandchildren; Kayley Taplick, Jacob, Ryan and Conner Taplick; nieces, Donna (Tom) Lederer and family, Lynn (Don) Klemmer and family and Peggy Hendrick; and nephew, Edward Stabnow . She was preceded in death by her three husbands; parents, John and Nettie Warne; her son, David P. Reineke; four sisters, Doris Stabnow, Helen Hendrick, Jean Warne and Joyce Peterson; and her stepson, William (Bill) Taplick. At Marian's request, no services will be held.
