Obituary
MADISON- Frances Ida Wright, age 90, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015. She was born on Dec. 13, 1924, in Eaton Rapids, Mich., the daughter of Earl and Veda (Vorce) Lewis. Frances graduated from Madison Central High School in 1942. She worked as a Certified Professional Secretary for Governor Warren P. Knowles from 1965-1972 and also for General Telephone for eleven years, retiring in 1987. Frances married James Reeder on Aug. 8, 1994, in Madison. She was a board member of Madison Area Musician's Union and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Frances was a devoted member of Monona Oaks Community Church, a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals for more than 30 years, and also a charter member of the Monona Chamber of Commerce. She held a deep love of music and was a talented pianist who entertained as "Fran-tastic on keyboards". One of her most thrilling accomplishments was winning the Madison Senior Idol competition. She is survived by a son, Max Drew of Lancaster; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two nephews; and a niece. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Reeder; and a sister, Margaret Loomis; and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held at MONONA OAKS COMMUNITY CHURCH, 6200 Monona Dr., Monona, at 11 a.m., on Friday, July 10, 2015. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 and again at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
