Adkins, Lenore "Patsy" Jahr STOUGHTON- Lenore "Patsy" Jahr Adkins, age 86, of Stoughton, entered Heaven's gates on July 8, 2015, from the hospice care at Oregon Manor in Oregon. She was born March 23, 1929, in Whitehall, Wis., the daughter of Leonard and Lillian (Bergum) Jahr. Patsy was married to Joseph S. Adkins II on Dec. 1946. They had 5 children together. After they were separated, Patsy went on to have 3 additional children. Patsy loved God and accepted Christ as her savior at an early age. In her early adult life, she was a Sunday School Teacher in Cross Plains. Later in life she regularly attended the Rescue Mission Church of Madison. A devoted mother, Patsy worked several jobs to care for her loving children. She was a cook at Dolly's and at Spanish Village Restaurant. She held a position as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Central Wisconsin Center in Madison. Patsy's love of people helped her succeed in her entrepreneurial endeavors. She sold a variety of products ranging from Avon Beauty Products, Beeline Retail Clothing, and Sara Coventry Women's Accessories. Patsy is survived by one brother; six children; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. They are Ronald Jahr (brother) and Carolyn, his spouse, of Waterloo; Joseph S. Adkins, III (son) of Stoughton; Michael Adkins (grandson) of Florida; Vicki Peterson (daughter) of Stoughton; Lance Peterson (grandson) and his wife Jenny of Cottage Grove; Scott Peterson (grandson), his wife Amy and daughter Morgain (great-granddaughter) of Blue Mounds; Linda Miller (daughter) of Madison; Michael Miller (grandson) of Calif.; Christopher Miller (grandson) and his wife Cailie of California; and Justin Miller (grandson) and his wife Lisa of Sun Prairie; Jackie Manght (daughter) of Milwaukee; Antoinette Adkins (granddaughter) of Dallas, Texas, and her children Ayahna and A.J. Dortch (great-grandchildren); and Paul Manght (grandson) of Milwaukee; Jori Dickerson (daughter) of Milwaukee; Michelle Morales (granddaughter) of Milwaukee; and her daughters, Melina and Miya Morales (great-granddaughters); Temujin Kibo-gue (grandson) of Milwaukee; and his sons, Traveon and Temujin Jr. (great grandchildren); Al-Qasas NurNajm (granddaughter) of Milwaukee; and her children, Shanice Jones (great-granddaughter), Ashanti Jones (great-granddaughter); and her children, Ary'anna and Armani (great-great-grandchildren); Laron Jones (great-grandson), Sofia Turner (great-granddaughter), Baby Boy Nurnajm (great-grandson); Al-Rahman Kibo-gue (grandson); and his children, Ignasios and Al-Rahbella (great-grandchildren); Tony Adkins (son) and his wife, Cynthia of Madison; and their children, Lyndsey Adkins (granddaughter) and Tylor Adkins (grandson); Shane Novotny (grandson); his wife Sara, and their daughter, Sophia (great granddaughter). Patsy was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph S. Adkins, II.; brother, Elwood Jahr; brother and sister-in-law,Paul and Charlene Jahr; her infant son, Jimmy Lee Adkins; and son, Morris "Chico" Ackerman. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME,5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2015. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
