Rose Marie McDowell

MCDOWELL, ROSE MARIE LODI-Rose Marie McDowell, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. She was born on December 16, 1925, in Boscobel, the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Robinson) Promenschenkel. Rose was united in marriage to Raymond L. McDowell on January 4, 1946 in Dubuque, IA. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and was devout in her catholic faith. Rose had a zest for life and was a peaceful caring woman who enjoyed nature. Her family will miss her dearly. Rose is survived by her daughters, Terri (Grant) Thomas and Danna Groom; sons, Mike, Pat and Dennis McDowell; grandchildren, Heather (Shane) Pulvermacher, Tanya (Don) Pertzborn, Trisha McDowell and Aaron McDowell; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Zach, Garrett and Dontel; and a sister-in-law, Delores Gilbertson. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, daughters, Katherine and Sandra Kay; daughter-in-law, Rose McDowell; and sister-in-law, Marlene Olver. Funeral services will be held at BLESSED TRINITY CATHOLIC PARISH AT ST. PATRICK'S CHURCH, 521 Fair St., Lodi, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, with the Reverend Father Chad Droessler presiding. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, Cottage Grove. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
