Sofie Schmitt

SCHMITT, SOFIE POYNETTE-Sofie Schmitt, age 90, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at U.W. Hospital. She was born on November 10, 1924, in Linz Germany, the daughter of Paul and Katherina (Thome) Schoeneberg. Sofie married Guenter Schmitt on March 7, 1948 in Linz Germany. Sofie loved her family and spending time with them. She also loved her dog "Butchie". Sofie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Guenter; son, Paul (Carol) Schmitt of Waukesha and her grandchildren, Paul and Jessica. She was preceded in death by her parents.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at BLESSED TRINITY CATHOLIC PARISH AT ST. PATRICK'S CHURCH, 521 Fair St., Lodi at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Father Chad M. Droessler presiding, Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the church.
