Mike has been our next-door neighbor for many years. He was always kind and responsive in our interactions with him, although we have to admit that we learned a fair amount about him in reading his obituary (all good stuff). Mike made good use of his professional background in making sure that our neighborhood well was up to standards in all respects. He especially made sure that our water was safe for drinking. We will miss his good nature and his presence in the neighborhood. He died much too soon. Dick & Adelle Johnson

From his friends at the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality Working with Mike was a true pleasure. Easy going, good natured; he was always willing and eager to take the time to explain what was happening in his lab. He was naturally very proud of the company, ECCS, he co-founded but what he really seemed to be most proud of was the people who worked there. A professional in every way he always put his clients first and the quality of his work was second to none. We feel blessed and honored to have known and worked with such a gentle, humble and honest man. You have our deepest sympathies. Carol Tracy & Bill Harmon
