She was our beloved "AUNT SUE" who we adored & loved very much. She married my UNCLE EARL, my father's brother. They met while he served in the military for our country. My fondest memory was not only her hugs where she always made you feel very loved & special, but they always made us "ROOTBEER FLOATS" when we visiting their home, was very exciting to us little children, where sugary treats were limited. My mom had met my dad as a waitress at the West Bend A & W restsurant where later my sister Jeanne & myself also were waitresses. My daughter loves A & W rootbeer that I tell people it runs in our family veins. Uncle Earl & Aunt Sue had a cute little BOSTON TERRIER dog we loved to play with. Aunt Sue was famous for her Japanese cooking but especially her "YOSAS" that everyone loved....so much so my Grandma Amanda delayed my wedding by 30 minutes causing drama because there was another wedding scheduled following mine, in 30 minutes where I almost was not married because of running out of time as Grandma Amanda left rushing home to refrigerate the YOSAS Aunt Sue had made for her but had not told anyone, at that time, what she was doing or where she went that my father refused to proceed with my wedding until his mom returned. It wasn't a holiday celebration without having Aunt Sue's Yosas that she taught me to make her secret recipe for my family that I am so grateful as it reminds us of her every time. She was very special to our family who blessed us with her family's Japanese traditions. She is deeply missed & we only have special memories of her being a part of our family. She was a very loving sweet soul that I want everyone to know we were very lucky & blessed to be loved by her. Love Laurie (Ray & Mary Heiting's daughter)
