My thoughts and prayers go out to Barbara's beloved family. I will miss her as my friend more than words can say; I cannot even imagine your loss. I first met Barbara in 1992 - on my first day of work at the Broom Street Job Service. That day she had brought in a string of pumpkin lights to hang outside her cubicle as fall garland. Other co-workers gathered around to admire the lights and enjoy some lighthearted laughter before work started. I remember thinking "This place is going to be okay." From that point on, I was blessed to know Barbara as my co-worker and friend. Despite her busy work schedule and full life, she always took time for others who needed encouragement; she also was generous in sharing her life with me and so many others. Barbara is beautiful on the inside and out, a loyal, wise, fun and compassionate friend. I look forward to seeing her again in heaven! With love and sympathy, Shelley Newport Ringelstetter

Although separated by years and miles, I've thought of Barb often and fondly as one of the kindest and most loving people I've ever known. She will be missed. My condolences to the family.

I was shocked & saddened to hear of Barbara's passing. My family had gotten to know her after my dad passed away 10 years ago. She and my dad Bob (Dr Bob as she liked to call him) had worked together for several years at the Dane County Job Center and became fast friends. She was a great support afterwards, sharing stories, Christmas cards, etc. She was such a unique and kind lady and I am so very sorry for your loss. She will be missed ❤️ Jennie (Sather) Mills and family
