Williams, LaVonne A.
BROOKLYN-LaVonne A. Williams, age 86 of Brooklyn, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Evansville Manor. She was born on July 1, 1928, in Madison, the daughter of Floyd and Elnora (Farnsworth) Neath. She married Lynn H. Williams on June 11, 1949, at the Brooklyn United Methodist Church. LaVonne worked part-time as a beautician out of her home. She volunteered with the Brooklyn E.M.T. for numerous years. LaVonne is survived by her grandson, Josh Schmelzer; brother, Casey (Grace) Neath; nieces, Ginger (Bob) Zimmerman and Dixie (Jerry) Johnson; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Kacy Schmelzer; son-in-law, John Schmelzer; and granddaughter, Melody Schmelzer. A private funeral will be held at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Brooklyn.
