MIDDLETON-Jacqueline J. "Jackie" Zank, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on October 2, 1928 in LaCrosse the daughter of Robert "Ori" and Edna (Jansky) Ross. Jackie was united in marriage to Wallace Zank on December 26, 1949. Together they opened their home to three wonderful children where they lovingly raised them as their own. Jackie had a variety of interests including playing cards and finding special deals at garage sales but truly treasured most the time spent with her family and friends. In addition to Wallace, her husband of 65 years, she is survived by her children, Robert, Randy and Debbie Zank and her faithful companion, Snowball. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents. In honor of Jackie's wishes no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, Jackie's wishes were for donations to made to the Dane County Humane Society. I'm so sorry to see that Jackie passed on. I know my mom and Janet were there to greet her and the three are catching up on a lot of lost time. Jackie was so sweet and thoughtful, ALWAYS...a very special angel indeed!

I just now found out about Jackie's passing at it makes me sad to think of the terrible void left by her absence. Jackie was generous, kind and loving, fearless in her beliefs; a strong ally, a formidable foe,
and she surely was a woman that I always looked up to.
It helps to think of her reunited with her folks, Ori and Edna, all watching down on us and protecting us.
