Curtis Earl Sorenson

Sorenson, Curtis E Oregon/Stoughton-Curtis E. Sorenson, age 86, passed away on Sunday May 24, 2015 at Agrace Hospice Care. He was born on August 3, 1928 in Madison, the son of Earl and Anna (Peterson) Sorenson. Curt lived and worked on the family farm and attended Oregon Schools. He entered the Army in 1954 and served in Korea until 1955. He married Martha Hall on August 31, 1956 and together they had 3 sons. Curt was a milk hauler, worked for the City of Fitchburg, and was a partner in WI Winpower. Curt enjoyed Packers and Brewers games, being outside, telling jokes, playing cards, and going to HoChunk. He is survived by his 3 sons, Bart, Bryan "Butch" (Janet) and Dean (Joan) Sorenson; 2 grandchildren, Parker and Nichole; 2 great-grandchildren, Olivia, and Sadie Rose. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Shirley Christensen and her children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn Swenson and Dorothy Johnson; brother, Lloyd "Pete" (Sharron) Sorenson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, parents, brother Merlin, and sister Margaret Ehle. Funeral Services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 11:00 am on Wednesday May 27, 2015. Visitation will take place on Tuesday May 26, 2015 from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm, and also on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. A luncheon will be held in the Gunderson Community Room following the service. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Special thank you to the medical staff at St. Mary's Hospital for all of their care.
