Obituary

Hoernke, Janice L. MIDDLETON-Janice L. Hoernke, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at St. Mary's hospital in Madison. She was born May 2, 1948 in Sparta, the daughter of Bruce and Eldora Heilman. Janice spent many of her last years working in human resources. Earlier in her career she opened a ceramics store and restaurant, drawing on her artistic talents in painting and cooking. She loved cooking, especially for her family. Jan most recently enjoyed knitting gifts for friends and family. Her biggest smiles were attributed to simply spending time with her grandchildren and family. What she loved more than anything was helping people and she helped many. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Janice is survived by her sister, Jean; two sons, Nick (Christine) and Marc (Gretchen); and grandchildren, Jamie, Justin, Noah, Grace and Emma. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim; and son, Craig. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015, with a time of sharing beginning at 3 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

6 years wasn't enough time to be with one of the best person in my life. Your smile and laugh were so contagious and a joy to be around. You were always in our thoughts and prayers so my good friend you will surely be missed but not for long save us a place at the table. Well see you soon but in the meantime you'll be a big part of our family at 3857.
