Obituary

Leeder, Therese Agnes ( McQuade) COTTAGE GROVE-Therese Agnes (McQuade) Leeder, age 86, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on May 12, 1929, in Janesville, the daughter of Alexander and Margaret (Bick) McQuade. Therese married Dale Leeder on Oct. 22, 1949, in Janesville. Therese and Dale raised their family in the Evansville and Cottage Grove areas. Therese was a hardworking, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member and faithful servant of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cottage Grove for over 40 years. Therese enjoyed walking and was a master gardener, always happy to share her tips for lawn and garden beauty in her neighborhood. Therese enjoyed sharing her many talents, sewing, knitting, and cooking with her family, especially her grandchildren. She emulated the beauty of home maker and mother and will always be remembered through her unconditional love and the braided rugs and dish cloths that she made for her family. She leaves a legacy that will be in our hearts forever. Therese is survived by her seven children, Patricia (Bill) Brown of Janesville, Debra (Steve) Bracciale of Tampa, Fla., Gayle (Allen) Kubiske of Delavan, Mary Leeder of Baraboo, Anne (Warren) Laube of Lake Mills, Janet (Jay) Pilot of Sussex, and Michael (Michelle) Leeder of Deerfield; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Joanne Schultz; brothers-in-law, Jack (Marita) Leeder; Lee (Carol) Leeder, Richard LaBelle, and Robert Swadley; sisters-in-law, Janice (Richard) Rasmussen, Barbara Leeder, Grace McQuade, and Zita McQuade. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; parents; two brothers, Robert and William; and a sister, Margaret (McQuade) Swadley. Funeral services will be held at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 434 N. Main Street, Cottage Grove, at 12:00 noon, on Thursday, June 4, 2015. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday.
