Obituary
MADISON – Erline Fischer, age 88, of Madison, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on June 11, 1926, in Leola, S.D., the daughter of Jacob and Magdelena (Lechner) Rueb. After graduating from Leola High School, Erline earned her teaching certificate. She married Albert Fischer on July 1, 1945, in Camp Crowder, Missouri. Erline worked for Rennebohms Pharmacy, Manchester department store, the State of Wisconsin, Condons Jewelers, and retired from General Causality Insurance after 12 years of service. She is survived by her children, Richard (Thuy) of California, RosaLee (Dean Thoreson- deceased), Randall (Ann) of Pardeeville, and Renee Fischer; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Erline was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Albert; five brothers; and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2015, with the Rev. Pat Siegler and Rev. Stacy Gahlman-Schroeder presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare. A special thanks to staff at Oak Park Place for their loving attention and also to the staffs at the Dean Clinics, St. Mary's Hospital and Agrace HospiceCare for their wonderful care. Sorry to hear of Erline's passing. I always enjoyed her participation in activities at Oak Park Place when I was an Activity Coordinator there. She was amazing at games and even assisted other residents who had difficulty. Blessings to her family at this time. Patsy McKenzie

My aunt Erline was a kind and loving woman. She was a great cook and always had a smile for me. My aunt Erline was a Big part of my life for many years. I know she is doing well with the many loved ones who have gone on before her. But I will miss her smiling face. Love, nancy
