Galarowicz, Adeline C.
COTTAGE GROVE–Adeline C. Galarowicz, age 87, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, May 15, 2015, at Kindred Hearts in Cottage Grove. She was born on March 29, 1928, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Albert and Stephanie Przepiora. Adeline met the love of her life, Joseph, in 1946. They were married in 1948 in Chicago. Joseph and Adeline resided in Chicago until 1961, when they decided to move to Northern Wisconsin to a place called Withee, then to Cottage Grove, where they raised their two sons, Joseph Jr. and Wayne. She worked for Goodyear in Sun Prairie until her retirement at age 62. Adeline loved cooking, collecting and reading cookbooks, and crocheting. Her meals were always enjoyed and appreciated by family and friends. She was loved and admired by all who knew her. Adeline is survived by her sons, Joseph L. (Sue) Galarowicz Jr. and Wayne (Vicky) Galarowicz; five grandchildren, Scott (Laura), Phillip (Michelle), Amy, Kyle (Amanda) and Stephanie; great-grandson, Colten; a brother, Ted Przepiora; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two siblings. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at noon, on Thursday, May 21, 2015. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to all staff at HospiceCare and the staff and directors of Kindred Hearts. I remember Dela had her favorite set of dishes. I believe that they had pink tea roses. Normally she told me that she usually cleans them herself so nothing is broken. She wanted to give me a treat and let me wash them for her. Have to say I was so nervous but she made me feel special.
