William David Jacobsen

Jacobsen, William "Jake" MADISON-William "Jake" Jacobsen, age 84, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Emeritus at Legacy Gardens. He was born on Nov. 5, 1930, in Madison, the son of Melvin and Myrtle Jacobsen. William was a graduate of Madison East High School class of 1950. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served his country in Korea. William worked for Madison Kipp for 22 years. He enjoyed attending gun shows and spending time with his many friends. William is survived by his best friend, Ken Jevens. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Robert. A graveside service will be held at FOREST HILL CEMETERY, 1 Speedway Rd, Madison, at 2 p.m., on Saturday, May 16, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emeritus at Legacy Gardens. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A special thank you to the staff of Emeritus at Legacy Gardens for their great care of William over the last four years.
