Reichenbach, Franciscus J. "Franz" COTTAGE GROVE-Franziscus J. "Franz" Reichenbach, age 75, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Switzerland, the son of Rose "Heidi" Reichenbach, on Nov. 25, 1939. He married Sally Sullivan on July 28, 1962, in Marshall, and spent the next 39 years together. Franz came to America in 1953 at the age of 14. He enjoyed taking photos, working on family recipes in the kitchen and maintaining and managing the flower bed at American Way. Franz also loved keeping in touch with his family and friends over the phone or CB radio. Franz is survived by his children, Tony Reichenbach (Phet Souliya) and Kelly (Brian) Carpenter; grandchildren, A.J. and Riley Reichenbach and Garrett and Tyler Carpenter; sister-in-law, Judy Norris; brothers-in-law, Ron (Signe) Main and Rob (Candy) Langert; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally; his mother, Heidi; step-father, Matt Casper; brother-in-law, Bob Norris; and two close friends, Ray and Ann Brennan. Funeral services will be held at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 434 N. Main St., Cottage Grove, at 10 a.m., on Saturday, May 30, 2015. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date. The family would like to thank the employees at American Way of Madison for all of the kindness you have shown our dad over the years.
