We are so sorry to hear of Gene's passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have always been truly honored that Gene and Jeannette chose to name their son Doug, after me. I'll never forget all of the best times we had together playing cards and drinking beer. I know that there was plenty of family up in heaven to welcome him and I can just about hear the shuffling of the cards now. Doug and Carolyn Latham

Uncle Gene... I will always remember him as "the Fun Uncle". I loved playing Euchre and Sheephead with him at family gatherings. Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys, sorry we couldn't make it to see you. Take care and God Bless! -- Chris Roelke
