Obituary
Sakrison, Tyler Jordan
MADISON-Tyler Jordan Sakrison, age 23, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, in Madison. He was born in Madison on July 27, 1991, to Tamara (Baird) and Bruce Sakrison. In his younger years, Tyler had an infectious smile and energy. When his younger brother, Shane, was born, Tyler took an immediate "shine" to him and was always encouraging, caring and proud of his brother. He was always willing to help and please those around him. As a youth, Tyler played in-line hockey, soccer, baseball, ice hockey, learned how to ride a unicycle and learned how to snowboard with his dad. He also loved skateboarding. Later on in his short journey, Tyler excelled at skateboarding and loved to "bomb hills" on his long board. He loved snowboarding at Tyrol and would entertain his family with his tricks and antics. A day on the lake skiing, wakeboarding and chillin' was the way he enjoyed his summers. Tyler also loved music; summer nights were for music and dancing. He was looking forward to Live on King Street and all the wonderful smaller music festivals throughout the city this summer. Tyler also enjoyed hiking through Raymond Ridge Park while listening to music or chatting with family. He always had time to stop and enjoy the sunset and was always the peaceful soul, but not afraid to speak out with an intelligent, informed opinion. Tyler was a student at James Madison Memorial and a proud graduate of Malcolm Shabazz City High School and later attended MATC's Auto Mechanics program. Although he struggled with employment, we would like to thank Meineke Car Care for giving Tyler a chance. In addition to his parents, survivors include his brother, Shane; paternal grandmother, Betty Sakrison; maternal grandparents, George and Lavora Baird; aunts and uncles, Barbara Sakrison, Brenda (Glen) Lockwood and Brian (Jennifer) Baird; cousins, Christa (Dave) Lecesse and Brian Lockwood; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Sakrison. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd., Fitchburg, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, with the Rev. Winton Boyd presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to www.iceagetrail.org/donate/honorary-memorial-gifts/ or donations will be made to the Madison Skate Park Fund. "Tyler, we always loved the spirit within you. For the last seven years, that spirit was impaired by the beast that tethered and toyed with you. Peace and love Tyler, you are free." I'm so sorry for your loss. I will never forget growing up with Tyler and him being my best friend. One thing that has really struck me throughout these past years is how you all never gave up on him. You all were so strong and such a great rock for him. I will miss him dearly.

I am terribly sorry for your loss. I will never forget and always cherish Tyler's contagious smile and the memories I have growing up with him and the "neighborhood crew" . I'll never forget how much fun we had during the good ole days when life seemed soooo much more simple skating, biking and running through the West Side. Keep an eye on us all from above sir. Thoughts and prayers to your family.- Kristen Selbach

I was so saddened to hear about Tyler. When Ross called to tell me , we talked about all the old fun times in baseball, the middle school antics and fun out at Tyrol. As Kristen mentioned those were easier times. Tyler was always laughing and was so polite as a guest in our home. My heart goes out to you! He was one of our Toki crew. We will miss him.

When David told me early this morning, I was so shocked and saddened by the news.
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I will never forget David's friendship with Tyler back in the middle school days especially with skating and boarding!

Tyler,
You were a smile to everyone who met and knew you,
A smile for those who cared -
And everyone who didn't know but knew about you,
Now lament their lack and despair.
Your kind and gentle spirit,
your loving care for those
who, like you, uncovered the path to righteous ways-
Will now guide their path- 'least, that's what I suppose.
So THANK YOU for the time you shared yourself -
far too short (we're all so very certain);
But 'cause the time you were here with us in past,
In future, we'll appreciate all the more our Burtons.
Thanks for being here...
Thanks for sharing your life with us...
