Connie Kay Skala

Skala, Connie K. MADISON – Connie K. Skala, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at her home in Fitchburg, Wis. She was born on July 30, 1948, in Boscobel, Wis., to Delbert and Betty (Rice) Updike. Connie married Michael J. Skala on April 16, 1969, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Boscobel. Connie is survived by her husband, Michael J. Skala of Fitchburg; her two daughters, Shellie Roberson of Madison; and her three children, Hailey, Mya and Quinton; and Jackie (Randall) Brown of Madison; and their son, Kincade and daughter, Jordan; two sisters, Glenda (Melvin) Zemlicka of Madison and Sheila (Al) Zinkle of Wauzeka; a brother, David Updike of Omaha, Neb.; brother-in-law, Jerry Fischer of Boscobel; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sheri L. Fischer; parents; and grandparents. Connie had a motto, "Add as many things to the bucket list as possible and make sure the bucket stays empty". And that is exactly what she did!!! A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD CATHOLIC PARISH AT THE ST. JAMES CHURCH, 1128 St. James Ct., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Friday, May 1, 2015, with Monsignor Thomas Baxter officiating.
