Obituary

MADISON-On Monday, April 20, 2015, Victor A. Elsinger, age 78, peacefully passed away at home of Parkinson's disease, just 42 days after his loving wife Mary. The oldest of five sons, Victor was born on November 21, 1936, in Campbellsport to Arthur and Lydia (Heinz) Elsinger.  He was raised on the family farm and upon graduating from high school he proudly served his country in the US Air Force in California.  He moved to Madison where he met and married Mary Kieffer on September 2, 1961 and they shared 53 wonderful years together. Throughout his working career he was employed in sales, having worked with several companies including 7-Up Bottling Company, Graf's Soda, Roma Pizza, Neesvig's Meats and retired from Gardner's Bakery. In retirement he helped several area auto dealerships by driving cars to many different destinations.  Victor had a variety of interests including hunting, golf and bowling.  He had a passion for cars and everything about them.  Victor enjoyed meeting with friends for morning coffee to solve the world's problems and always offer a cold beer to those who would stop by to "shoot the breeze". He gave to his family the value of a hard work ethic, saving their money and the ability to make a friend with everyone he met. Victor is survived by his daughters, Vicki (Craig) Welch, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Tracy (Kurt) Hellenbrand, Middleton; grandchildren, Amanda (Tyler) Droppers, Keith Welch, Luke Welch, Bryce Hellenbrand and Annika Hellenbrand; three brothers, Wayne (Marion), David (Patsy) and Dale (Chris), a sister-in-law, Sally Elsinger and other relatives and many friends.  In addition to his wife Mary, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Andrew and his brother Roger.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, at 11 AM on Friday, April 24, 2015 with Father Bart Timmerman presiding.  Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton from 4:30 to 6:30 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2015 and also on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church.  Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare or to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.  The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Victor's caregivers, Lori, George, Latrice, Brianna, Catherine and Rachel for their loving care.   Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.Gunderson WestFuneral & Cremation Care7435 University Avenue(608)831-6761

How sad to lose a loved one no matter the age. We know that your dear one was loved and will be missed. There is one thing that will bring the greatest comfort to you. God has promised mankind this. "Death will be brought to nothing", according to 1Corinthians 15:26. God has made arrangements to remove sickness and death away from all. (Revelation 21:4-5) Most importantly God does not lie. (Titus 1:2) Any of your loved ones who have died can live again. (John 11:25) Rest assure God has the power to do all things. More comforting information can be found at jw.org
