Obituary

OREGON – Rena Busch, age 89, passed peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2015. Born May 4, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Vera (Ford) Bennett, Rena graduated from Janesville high school, class of 1943. She married Elwin (Al) Busch on October 26, 1946. Rena was a beautician and co-owner of ClaRene's in Middleton Wisconsin where she and her husband relocated after living in Oregon Wisconsin. She retired in 1975, a few years after moving to a home on Lake Waubesa. In 1994, Rena and Al returned to live in Oregon Wisconsin where she enjoyed many activities at the Oregon Senior Center.Rena is survived by four children, Cheryl Rupard, Dawn Wood (Don), Linda Apple, Elwin (Bud) Busch (Jane), and eight grandchildren, Simon Rupard (SeungJin), Nathan Rupard (Amanda), Jennifer Kligora (Brad), Melissa Sorensen (Tad), Sarah Meyer (Dwight), Kristin Apple, Eric Busch (Danen), Ross Busch (Natalie), and nine great-grandchildren.Rena is preceded in death by her husband Elwin (Al) Busch, parents Charles and Vera Bennett, stepmother Elizabeth Bennett, one brother Chuck Bennett, two sisters Elenor Austin and Beverly Hegge and son-in-law Ken Apple.Memorial services will be held at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E. Netherwood St, Oregon, WI; at 11 AM on Thursday, April 30, 2015 with the Reverend Paul Markquart presiding. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Council on Aging and sent to the Oregon Area Senior Center, 219 Park St., Oregon WI 53575.The family of Rena Busch wishes to thank the staff of Milestone Senior Living and Agrace HospiceCare for their excellent care and service.   Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I remember when I was about 12 years old Aunt Rena came to the farm to cut my hair and give me a perm for the first time. It was a really exciting day for me! I remember that I looked great with my new perm and haircut thanks to Aunt Rena. I will miss her. - Audrey Costerisan
