Joan Marie Adler

I had the pleasure of knowing Glenn and Joan through American Family, along with being neighbors on Randy Jay St. Both wonderful people. My heart goes out to their family . May your memories sustain you and remind you of the love and good times.

As Thecla Adler Wiltgen's daughter and Glenn's first cousin and close neighbor in Marshfield, I thought of him as incredibly good. He handled life with great dignity and dearly loved and was proud of Joan. Her accomplishments and good cooking (if I remember, she won a stove in a Betty Crocker contest) were amazing! Joanie and I shared a teeny classroom when she was teaching remedial reading and I worked with kids with learning disabilities at Washington School in Marshfield. Joan was an inspiration to me as a more "experienced" teacher and I've thought of her often through the years. So sorry to hear of her passing. I will remember that smile always. (not to mention the yummy teachers' lounge treats she shared with one and all).
