Obituary

Rogers, June M. "June Bug" MADISON – June M. "June Bug" Rogers, age 64, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015. She is survived by her two children, Judy (Manee) North and Sonny Rogers; six grandchildren, Kimberly Holt, Jody Holt, Michael North, Brandon Rogers, Aaliyah Rogers and Makayla Rogers; one great-grandchild; and twin sister, Judy (David) Hutchinson. June was born on March 26, 1951 in Baraboo to Harry E. and Ruth W. Schmidt and grew up with the seasonal sledding at Ochsner Park and swimming in the public pool near the A&W. She graduated from Baraboo High School in 1970. June moved to Madison in 1977 and worked tirelessly to provide for her growing family. After years of being a waitress, she found her niche as a team member at De Jope Bingo in 1999, and enjoyed working there until 2014. June loved her job at De Jope and frequently set a challenging pace. An eagerness to help others, and an old-fashioned approach to raising children brought her many a dear friend – including her children. June loved to sing and song stylings at many karaoke locations around Madison brought "June Bug" real popularity. Her family and friends will smile every time they hear a Patsy Cline song, and they will sincerely miss this genuine and caring person. Rest assured, June loved her family and friends very much! A celebration of her life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., on Thursday, May 7, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com. Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care 5203 Monona Drive (608)221-5420

My heart is heavy with the though that I will never hear your squeeky little voice again, hear your beautiful karaoke versions of White Rabbit, I Fall to Pieces and the Lion Sleeps Tonight or just plain shoot the breeze with you over a beer or two. Our Rev. Jim's family will never be the same again without you June Bug. I pray you're at piece and it's as beautiful as your soul was down here on earth. Miss you girlie girl! Love always, Lisa.
