Louis L. Heitzinger

Heitzinger, Louis JUNCTION CITY/RACINE/MONONA-Louis Heitzinger, age 86, passed away at Heritage Senior Living Center, on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, after an extended illness. He was born in the family farm house near Junction City, Wisconsin to Martin and Anna (Borski) Heitzinger. Louis graduated as one of the top students in his senior class of 1945, from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point, Wis. During the end of World War II, he served two years in the U.S Army. On July 10, 1948, Louis married E. Ruth Kitowski. He was a manager at Wholesale Electronic Companies since 1955, and in 1958, he managed Superior Electronics on State Street in Racine, Wis., until his retirement in 1991. Louis was a member of St. John Nepomuk Church and an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an exceptionally good golfer and very proud of his three hole-in-ones. Louis dearly missed his post as ranger and starter at Johnson Park Golf Course in Racine. Louis is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth; three sons, Donald (Michelle) of Madison, Ronald of Madison, and Jerry (Linda) of Cottage Grove; two grandchildren, Eric Heitzinger and Zoë Heitzinger; step-grandsons, Craig (Jacque) Drascic, and Chris (Kari) Drascic; great-step-grandson, Gage Drascic; brothers, Robert (Audrey) Heitzinger of Milladore, Wis., and James Heitzinger of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Senior Living and Agrace HospiceCare for their caring and thoughtfulness.
