Jeremy Michael Schnabel

Schnabel, Jeremy M. MADISON-Jeremy M. Schnabel, age 27, passed away unexpectedly in an automobile accident on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. He was born on Dec. 26, 1987 in Madison, the son of Michael and Penny (Powers) Schnabel. Jeremy graduated from Oregon High School in 2006. He worked as a machinist at Kelsch Machine Corporation since 2010. Jeremy was an avid hunter and collected sheds. He loved to fish, bowl, watch racing, gamble and hunt for Morels. His passion was having family dinner every Sunday. Jeremy was an all around handyman; he was always there to lend a helping hand or shoulder to lean on. Jeremy is survived by his loving parents, Mike and Penny; special sister, Kristy; twin brother and best friend, Jason; his four legged buddy, Lincoln; his treasured aunts and uncles, Carrie and Pat Crossen, Mark and Renee Schnabel, Scott and Theresa Schnabel and Eric Schnabel; beloved cousins; Jenny and Brooke Crossen, Cody and Chaylee Schnabel, and Kaija and Hailie Schnabel; and other relatives and amazing friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Michelle and Amanda; paternal grandparents, Floyd Schnabel and Jackie Julson; and maternal grandparents, Tom and Catherine Powers. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 1 p.m., on Saturday, March 21, 2015. A private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. A luncheon will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for a charity that will be determined at a later date. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone for their outpour of love and support.
