Obituary

LaVerne A (née Dahlke) Langsdorf (fka Hahn) – Funeral service and entombment for LaVerne Langsdorf were held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Roselawn Memorial Park Mausoleum at 401 Femrite Dr, Monona, WI with Pastor Fred Rilling of St. John's Lutheran Church of Prairie du Sac officiating. Laverne passed to eternal life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, April 12, 2015 (Packers QB Day) after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on December 5, 1934 in Buffalo Township of Marquette County, WI; daughter of Walter and Bertha (Mateske) Dahlke. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years in Madison, WI. She married Richard Langsdorf on June 2, 1956. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1983. They were blessed with two daughters. She was married to Donald Hahn from June 15, 1985 through October 13, 2013. Survivors include her two daughters, Andrea (Alan) O'Brien and Teresa (John) Kreutzmann, grandchildren: Joshua (Ivana) O'Brien, Matthew (Chelsey Eley) O'Brien, Richard Kreutzmann, Samantha Kreutzmann, and one great-grandson, Lucas O'Brien; two sisters, Arlene "Mert" Kroll and Edith Rossman; one brother, Elton (Mary Ann) Dahlke; two sisters-in-law, Janette Dahlke and Bonnie Dahlke; one aunt, Florence Dahlke, and two brothers-in-law William (Joan) Langsdorf and Jon (Mary Lynn) Langsdorf. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces and very dear friends. She was preceded in death by her soulmate, Richard Langsdorf, her parents, parents-in-law, three brothers, Robert (Carolyn) Dahlke, Leo Dahlke and Arnold Dahlke, and two sisters, Dorothy (Harold) Spain and Adeline (Robert) Dean. Thank you to the many doctors, nurses and staff of St. Marys Hospital, Dean Clinic, Home Health United, Home Health United Hospice, and Waunakee Manor for all of the wonderful care and compassion shown to LaVerne during her difficult illness. A very special thank you goes out to Pastor Fred and Pastor Sally for their many visits.
