Aunt Mayvis was an amazing women. I have many fond memories of being at her and Uncle Bill's home for visits and Schneider gatherings. She was always kind and gracious to me. I secretly admired her home decorating, including and not limited to: the Christmas tree which featured all of her children's home made ornaments. Some of Ken's early art work on a few walls and various placed antiques in the home, which blended the old and new in harmony. At Christmas time the dinning room side table, had a little village set up ready for more snow. ;o) The food was always great, the conversions always warm and mixed lots of laughter. Aunt Mayvis, was able to pull it all together no matter what she was dealing with in her life. She was a very sophisticated and strong woman. To her family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time. Love, Rita (a.k.n. Rita Marie)

Mayvis and I go back to grade school. Such a good friend. I remember one summer she, her mother and I took the train to Milwaukee to buy school clothes. It was so exciting for me. I bought three sweaters and two skirts. That with one other sweater and one other skirt made up my wardrobe for that year in high school. We did not have a different outfit every day. We were all so happy when she joined up at our reunion. Wonderful memories.
