OLSON, SCOTT A.
LODI- Scott A. Olson, age 56, of Lodi, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 suddenly at home. He was born on June 1, 1958 in Rockford IL, the son of Arnold and Alice Olson. Scott married Janice (Lindner) Olson on May 18, 1985 in Poynette, WI.
Scott worked over 30 years as a sprinkler fitter retiring in 2014. Since then he kept busy at the car wash, part time jobs or helping his kids. He was happiest when boating on Lake Wisconsin with family and friends.
Scott is survived by his wife, Janice; son Jacob (fiancée KateLynn); daughter, Angela (Peter) Trawinski; granddaughter, Elizabeth, all of Lodi; sisters, Mary Casna of Rockford IL, Denise (Dan) McAllister of Montrose CO; cousin, Glenda Woosley of Merrimac and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnie and Alice Olson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the POYNETTE VILLAGE HALL, 118 S. Main St., Poynette on Saturday, March 28, 2015, open house from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and time of sharing from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Scott will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He always had a story or joke to share with everyone. We invite friends and family to share their favorite Scott memory during the time of sharing.

My dear, dear friend Scott was one of the very most important people in my life for about 20 years. He always had my back and knew I had his. I always loved how he greeted and parted with me with what I called his "bromance" handshake/hug combination. Of the two of us, he was usually the first to say "I love you man" NOT just "love you". Big difference. I always stepped back and patted him on the chest then. The first time I did that he asked what that was about. "Are you just trying to feel my impressive pecs?" "No Buddy I just like patting that big, warm heart of yours". Sadly it has now taken him from us far too soon and broken mine.
Scott was such a good, honest, generous guy. Always the first guy around ready to help with even the worst of things I got myself into. I know he is NOT standing in front of St. Peter trying to think of a poem using the rhyming word "Timbuktu" in order to get in. Those of you who have known and loved him like I did, know exactly what the funny joke was that he told about that! His sense of humor was second to none. The gate was open and waiting for him. Earth cries and heaven smiles. God speed my dear friend Scott. My life will never be the same without your bigger than life persona. Gone but NEVER forgotten or long from thought. See you soon, Buddy.

There are no words to make the hurt and pain go away. You were so blessed to have had such a wonderful Husband, Dad, grandfather, and friend. Scott has left an amazing legacy in his family. His contagious smile will for ever be remembered by ALL!. Prayers for you all Joesph and Marlene Trawinski

So sad to say goodbye to my dear old friend, Scott. We became friends in 7th grade and" our group" was inseparable throughout high school and until he moved to Wisconsin. We had such good times at your parents trailer water and snow skiing! Will always remember that great smile and happy go lucky attitude. We'll miss you oly!
