Obituary
MADISON-Joyce J. (Fields) Jacobson, age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Girlie’s Manor in Cross Plains. She was born on April 18, 1933 in Lena, the daughter of Fredrick and Laura (Fifield) Fields. Joyce was united in marriage to George Jacobson on July 24, 1954 in Milwaukee. She was a devoted wife of 60 years, a loving mother and grandmother who treasured the time she spent with her loved ones. Joyce enjoyed country music and worked as an Avon representative for over 40 years. She is survived by her loving husband George; her daughter, Diane (Tim) Hughes of Madison; two grandchildren, Nathaniel (Kimberly Bretza) and Erika; a brother, Maynard Fields of Oconto and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Roger; her parents; four sisters, Marie, Jo, Vivian, and Lillian and six brothers, Howard, Malcom, Harold, Gerald, Alfred and Richard John. Funeral services will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison at 11 AM on Saturday, March 21, 2015, with the Reverend Timothy Nybroten presiding. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or to the Canine Cupids of Milwaukee. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Joyce, hard to pick just one. When she was pregnant with Diane, I use to come and stay and help her out, playing with Roger, actually keeping him busy while she rested. We had some good talks, very special talks. Than when I became pregnant with Shelley she made me a beautiful statue of Mother Mary, that I will always treasure. I'm so happy that Shelley and I went to see her right before she went into the hospital, we had a great afternoon with her and Uncle Jake. I will truly miss her and our phone calls. Rest in Peace Lovely Lady, never to be forgotten.

Uncle Jake, Diane and family,
It was (and still is) a very heavy heart when I received word about Auntie Joyce. She was a SPECIAL LADY, beautiful on the outside as well as on the inside. She ALWAYS had a smile on her face and kind words for EVERYONE. She became my Auntie through marriage to her nephew, but she NEVER made me feel like I was anything BUT FAMILY!!! I am so happy I was in WI for her birthday and house warming party last year. Trying to surprise her, no one knew but Judy Davis. However, when Auntie Joyce saw me, she said she had a feeling I was going to be there!!
I feel I am a better person for having the opportunity to know such a WONDERFUL PERSON.
Please feel the hugs I'm sending to all of you at this time. Auntie Joyce will always be in my heart.

Everyone loved Aunt Joyce who met her for the first time. When she smiled her whole face would light up. It was a pleasure to have her for a Aunt. Her family from the Oconto Falls area will miss her so very much.

The day we went to clean my fathers home up after he died Aunt Joyce meet me at the hotel we were staying at and had a beautiful talk with me . She is and always was a devote Christian . I will always remember that smile of hers . Rest in peace with your heavenly father Aunt Joyce I will miss you.
