Mark Steven Lindau

BOQUETE, Panama - Mark Steven Lindau, age 54, died suddenly on March 12, 2015, in Lauderhill, Fla. Mark was born on Jan. 23, 1961; he was the fourth child of Paul and Marilyn Lindau. Mark was born in Madison, Wis., and graduated from West High school in 1979. Mark went on to college in Bozeman, Mont. Mark was an artist and free spirit who loved everything outdoors. He worked in a number of occupations and always desired to be an inventor and dreamed of the next best thing. Mark was most proud of co-owning and running a large self storage project in Lauderhill, Fla. Mark lived for the last 19 years in Boquette, Panama, where he enjoyed fishing, scuba diving and everything Panama had to offer. Mark is survived by his mother, Marilyn Lindau (Mike Siemion) of Madison; sister, Lori (Steve) Pagelow of Madison; and brothers, Danny (Susie) Lindau of Boulder and Jamie (Karen) Lindau of Madison. Mark also leaves behind seven nieces and nephews, Ryan, Brandon, Cam, Kelly, Eli, Kyia and Courtney; as well as many friends in Panama, Florida and Madison. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul. Mark's ashes will be spread in the ocean that he loved so. A Time of Remembrance will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 7 p.m., on Friday, April 17, 2015. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday.Mark, we love you and will miss you.
