To the Lahr family: Jim and I read of your mother's death in the paper today and we want to offer our heartfelt condolences. We both played tennis with your parents and truly enjoyed getting to know both ofthem. Jackie and I co-captained more than one team together and even got one or 2 of them to the state tournament. Jackie was such a kind and caring person and although I have not played tennis in the past few years, I will miss seeing her around in places like Trader Joes. I know she loved her family very much and that you were all first in her heart. You are in our thoughts in this most difficult time. Mary Knapp

I was so saddened to learn of your mom's passing today. She was a terrific teacher to our daughter, Sarah and to so many others whose lives she touched. I have many fond memories of our summers of playing "doubles" at the high school with Marianne Hauser and Barb Zastrow. This picture epitomizes her so well, i.e., always so upbeat with that wonderful smile. May she rest in peace. My sincere sympathies, Peg Storrs

I taught next door to Jackie for several years when we both taught at Prospect Elementary School in Lake Mills. She was a great colleague, mentor, and friend, and the reason several of her students chose to enter the teaching profession. I will always have fond memories of her. My sympathies to all of you, Sandy Whisler
