Hi Janice (and family), I am very sorry for the loss of your father. I cannot make it to the funeral, however, I wanted to share some memories. My name is Vicky Hanko; my father was Dick Havey. My dad was the catcher for ESBMA and caught many of Tom's pitches. As I grew up, I became reacquainted with Tom. I used to live in McFarland, and I am an early morning walker. Many days, we would stop and chat. I also would see him at the girl's high school softball games. One time he commented to me that my mother was a very pretty lady. I jokingly said "I must take after her". He said "No, you look like your Dad". I know he didn't mean it as a cut - as I do look like my dad. I still chuckle about that conversation! Also, I worked at Madison Truck Equipment for 30 years. He would call on us to sell his printing products. He always had a joke and often sang a little song for me. I always looked forward to his visits. I hope happy memories can get you through this sad time; you have my sympathy. Vicky

Hi Janice, I am so sorry about Tommy passing. He had been a part of my life for over 65 years. I am very sad. I didn't know, until today, Monday, as we were on vacation, in Florida, and just arrived home Sunday, or I would be there to say goodbye. He was such a dear and sweet man. He came to the hospital everyday to see Leo, and I feel very fortunate that I had the opportunity to spend those hours each day with him. My sympathy to your entire family. Kay Louise

Please accept our most heartfelt condolences. Tom used to stop in to make sales calls here at the District Office in Monona. He always had a smile and a song for us. He truly was an inspiration to us all. We will miss him. With sympathy, Mary & Lee

We are sorry to learn of Tom's passing! Whenever he would stop by the shop to check on our printing needs, he always had a joke or a song. Bless him for the length of time he was in the work force! We should all be so fortunate as to spend such healthy years in our 90s. God bless your family! The staff at Dean's Auto Repair
