Brown, Marian Conway
MADISON/MONONA - Marian Conway Brown, age 98, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 21, 2015. She was born on Feb. 11, 1917, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Ganz) Conway. Marian graduated from Madison East High School. She worked for 25 years at American Family Insurance in the Marketing Department, and prior to that, she was employed with the State of Wisconsin for ten years. Marian was a charter member of St. Dennis Catholic Church, and enjoyed playing bridge and reading. Marian is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Brian) Wiltzius, Diane Welling Brown, Jannel (Arnold) Krall and Stephanie (David) Dean; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015, with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. I have many special memories of Aunt Marion as I spent many visits to her while growing up. She was loving and practical at the same time. I have given a donation to the church "High School Scholarship"fund in her memory. You will be missed. Love, Ann

Hello, My name is Mary Jo Rideout Re. My mother, Marguerite Rideout, and your mother were best friends from when they first met over on Lakeland Avenue back in the 1920's. I once had the delight of taking "Connie" and my Mom and another friend (Phyllis Gerlock) out to lunch and then for a drive through the old neighborhood. It was delightful to hear them, all in their 90's, talk like they were still the little girls who first met many years ago. May she rest in peace. Blessings, Mary Jo
