Rasmussen, Arlene S. ARLINGTON-Arlene S. Rasmussen, age 86, passed away on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 27, 1928, the daughter of E. Carl and Esther (Skofstad) Sorby. Arlene married William Nelson Rasmussen on June 9, 1949. She is survived by her children, W. Carl (Diane), Judith L. (Andrew) Harrison, John E. (Christine), and Marie E. (Brad) Hall; grandchildren, Ryan (Chris), Jayson (Katie), Jordan, Dylan, Allison, Skye, Hailey and Noah; and great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Justin, Braedon and Gavin. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her sister. Funeral services will be held at UNITED IN CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4650 County DM, Morrisonville, at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. R. Arlene was one of the most amazing women I have known. Though she was deaf, she spoke clearly enough to communicate with anyone and read lips very well too. She raised a family of successful professionals in various fields. We love you and will miss you, Arlene. God welcome you home.

I met Arlene when we were in the Red Hat Group...We enjoyed many events together...She always had a smile and pleasant greeting...we later became e-mail friends. R.I.P.my friend...Thank you for being my friend.
