OYEN, MINNIE “MIN”
LODI-Minnie “Min” Oyen, age 100, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at home. She was born February 6, 1915 in Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Nels and Sophie (Evenson) Eikeland. Min married Russell Oyen on March 31, 1937 in Deerfield. Russ passed away in 2005. She helped Russ on the family farm, was a great donut baker, loved writing letters and enjoyed gardening.
Min is survived by her children, Gerene Luedtke and Dale (Kathleen) Oyen; grandchildren, Ryon Oyen, Autam (Chad) Lilley, Alex (Julie) Oyen, Timothy Oyen; great grandchildren, Nick, Ethan, Trevor, Summar and Skylar and sister, Clara Maurer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Ronald Dean Oyen; a grandson, Rexford Dean Oyen; two brothers and four sisters.
Memorial Services will be held at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 206 Pleasant Street, Lodi, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 with Chaplain Dan Pulsfus presiding. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. The family would like to give special thanks to Home Health United Hospice and their family and friends for all the loving care they gave Min.
