KOZEL, JEANINE C. LODI- Jeanine C. Kozel, age 85, of Lodi, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at Oakwood Village East. She was born on December 10, 1929 in Sauk City WI, the daughter of Hubert and Annie O’Tillie (Rydell) Sebring. Jean married Thomas J. Kozel on July 8, 1948. In 1971 Jean and Tom opened the Lodi Shop Rite store which they ran until selling in 1988. She also worked at Ken Kopp’s in Madison and then she worked for Lodi Schools until her retirement. Jean was a member of the First Lutheran Church. She loved to dance, sing, bowling, do crafts and paint. But most of all she loved spending time with friends and family. Jean is survived by her children, Vicki (Jim) Bartholmew, Julie (Steve) Ginter and Robert Kozel; grandchildren, Josh Bartholmew, Ryan (Rachel) Bartholmew and Tillie Ginter; great grandchildren, Ava and Gwendolyn Bartholmew. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom in 2013 and sister, Earlis Reddell. Funeral Service will be held at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 206 Pleasant St., Lodi at 11 a.m., on Friday, February 27, 2015 with Pastor Michael Lee presiding. Burial will be in Mt Pleasant Cemetery.
