Wildeck, Robert W. “Bob” FITCHBURG-Robert W. “Bob” Wildeck, age 84, of Fitchburg, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born on May, 2, 1930, in East Orange, N.J., the son of Walter and Melva (Thompson) Wildeck. Bob graduated from East High School in 1948. Bob was a member of the U.S. Navy Mobile Construction Battalion CB, “Seabees,” from 1948 until 1952. He worked for the UW-Madison Physical Plant-Carpenter Shop from 1956 until 1996, retiring as its supervisor. Bob enjoyed farming, cabinetry work, building furniture and numerous other construction projects. He also enjoyed his trips to Wyoming. Bob is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Patricia (Laufenberg) Wildeck of Wilmington, N.C.; longtime companion, Lee Ann Dillman of Fitchburg; children, Michael (Lori) Wildeck of Weston, Wis., Terri (Jim) Haga of Jacksonville, N.C., Deb Groh (Jeff Stokely) of Wilmington, N.C., and Steve (Teresa) Wildeck of Fitchburg; grandchildren, Dan (Julie) Wildeck, Jacob (Cara Falkowski) Wildeck, Marissa Wildeck, Kyle Stormoen, Hannah Hager, Kayla Wildeck and Connor Wildeck; a great-grandchild, Hazel Wildeck (daughter of Dan and Julie); sisters-in-law, Colleen (Tom) Varnes and Joyce (Ken) Niesen; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb.16, 2015, with Father Kenneth Klink presiding. Military rites will be conducted following the services. A luncheon will follow the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Burial will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens in Madison. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
