Keith, sorry to read about your mother's passing. I always liked her. I remember her and Burr riding on their pontoon boat coming down past our house on Nishishin Trail. Your mom and dad, if I were outside, would always wave and say we're living the good life. Take care and say hi to Carol, Your friend, Wes

What a great loss! 55 years ago, I met Sally. She was a neighbor down the street. I lived on Progressive Lane, she on Rothman. I became very close friends, with her daughter Linda. After Linda's death, Sally and I shared that" special " mother daughter relationship. She was alway's there for me thru good times and bad. My kids grew up calling her their" Grandma Sally" I will always remember her beautiful blue eyes and sparkly personality. She would always tell me, to put my best foot forward. And then, for such a small framed lady, the FIRM handshake. When she hugged , you could just feel the love that this special lady had. She loved going to the family restaurant down in Stoughton, followed by a trip to the bakery! We would always tell each other how much we loved one another. I felt so bad finding out today, that she died. I would have been there for her the last couple of weeks. I will be there for her now, thru my prayers. I will always love you Sally! My condolences to the family. Geri Schmitz Stankevich

Sally and my mother (Veronica Dollard) became friends when they both worked at USAFI during World War II. (My memory may be a bit off on this point because I vaguely recall that Sally may have worked in the Capitol.) They each had children about the same age and remained friends throughout their lives. Sally was one of my mother's closest and probably her longest term friend; she was one of the last people who came to visit my mother not long before she passed. Even though my mom had Alzheimers disease, she and Sally had a great conversation and it was like seeing my mother as she used to be, thanks to Sally. Sally was one of the kindest people I've ever known; she never forgot to send my mom a birthday card and always kept in touch. I remember my mother saying how smart and capable Sally was and that she was always a snappy dresser. I feel sad for Keith (her son) for losing such a great mother and for all of us for losing a really wonderful lady. - Diane Stinnett
