Jack, I am so sorry to learn just now of Ann's death. You have lost a lovely and dear wife, who so impressed me with her quiet and sincere wit. Both of you will be in my prayers. God bless. Charles Scott

Jack, you and Ann have been a sterling example of what it is to be truly Catholic and to serve your country, state, Church, and family with grace, dedication, and love. Your partnership will never be broken. With you, we look forward to its continuation in the world to come where we will join her at God’s throne. Rest in peace, Ann.

Reading about Mrs. Anna May Rogan has made me smile, learning that she and her would-be husband didn't want to wait until they were back in the U.S. to marry. Sounds like they were very much in love. I also smiled when I read about the many children they had, and that their own parents had, and how their own children were conservative in the number of children they brought into the world. Such is the commentary of modern life in the U.S. May the family spend many years continuing to cherish their memories of Mrs. Rogan with joy and laughter. I know there also is sadness and for this, I express my deepest condolences. Chalmer Thompson Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI
